Any one who will assert that this method of extracting gas doesn't have an impact upon the environment is not recognising the character of what is happening.

Correct: these operations have a big impact, for the months or years they last. then they go, unlike quarries, factories, some mines, cities, wind farms - his long will they be there? Don't tell me wind and wave do not impact the environment? or nuclear?
